Bid Coordinator

McDonald Wholesale Company, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is actively seeking applicants for a Bid Coordinator position in Eugene. This position is non-exempt and is not within the collective bargaining unit.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

*Assists with activities related to institutional bids including seeking bid opportunities, responding to inquiries, maintaining effective customer relationships, and preparing bids for schools, prisons and other governmental entities.

*Functions as “facilitator”, interfacing with other departments.

*Completes bid tracking documents and enters bid pricing into order system.

*Researches new products, investigating and/or interviewing potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements.

*Reconciles commodity inventories weekly.

*Maintains E-food order guide.

*Ensures customer satisfaction by initiating contact and responding to customer and broker requests and concerns. Contact is via telephone, in-person and via email. Approximately 90% of contacts are by telephone and email; 10% face-to-face (which would include some traveling). Approximately 75% of contacts are with customers.

*Maintains accurate and complete records, ensuring institutional customers utilize the commodity levels per contract. Ensures contracts are followed.

*Develop and maintain knowledge of child nutrition.

Education and/or Experience:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school AND two years related experience and/or training related to contract management or procurement; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior purchasing and customer service experience required; prior sales experience preferred. Governmental contract experience also preferred. Requires extensive product knowledge and strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as vendor deviated pricing documents, purchasing contracts, product specifications, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Order processing systems; Excel, Word and Outlook software.

CDL Delivery Driver

McDonald Wholesale Company, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is actively recruiting to fill a full-time Experienced CDL Delivery Driver position.

Job description:
Delivery Drivers represent McDonald Wholesale Co. to customers and in the driving communities on their routes. Therefore, being neatly groomed, maintaining a good job attitude, establishing and maintaining a good rapport with all accounts, and operating vehicles in a courteous and safe manner are requirements of the position. Drivers deliver and off-load food and other products using hand-truck and truck ramp to a variety of establishments including schools, hospitals, restaurants, taverns, etc., ensuring that the correct products are delivered to each customer, meeting delivery deadlines, and collecting monies according to delivery paperwork. Must be personable in working with customers relating to delivery or pickup problems. Drivers ensure the safe handling and security of all products, and perform daily check-in procedures and other duties as assigned. Drivers must be prepared to work in any traffic and weather conditions. Vehicle responsibilities include operating in a safe manner, performing preventive maintenance by checking oil, fuel, lights, tires, etc., and maintaining cab cleanliness. This position is within the collective bargaining unit.


• Current Class A C.D.L. license with a least 1 year prior driving experience.

• Good Driving Record.

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job - capable of maneuvering up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or maneuver up to 80 lbs.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain positive customer relationships.

• Ability to perform accurate balancing of load sheet and monies.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
